I am working towards certifcation in EMDR and am IFS-informed. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of life experiences. Similarly, the internal family systems model (IFS) is a therapeutic modality used to help clients identify the root causes of their emotional and behavioral patterns or triggers. I also have a certificate in Educational Neuroscience from Butler University and am pursuing training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.

 

My work emphasizes emotional and nervous system regulation, a deeper connection to self and others, and a state of sturdiness. I am a lifelong learner and practice a holistic and individual approach to mental health, incorporating expressive/creative arts, mindfulness techniques, and somatic experiences into sessions, when appropriate. I strive to provide an environment that feels safe and compassionate. It is a privilege to sit alongside someone as they work towards healing, growth and a more fulfilling life. I am a Christian and love incorporating faith into counseling sessions when that is desired by the client.​
